Happy New Year 2014.
Thank you for stopping by and for spending time looking at my photos, it's well appreciated!

December 2013

December, my favorite month of the year.  This December was all about the family, my son came home from Denmark with his wife and two sons and stayed for 3 weeks. I love being a grandmother!  Here you can see some of what we did this month!

Summer

Finally it's summer here in North Iceland and we've had unusually warm weather after an unusually hard winter. The extreme in the weather is very strange but I'm enjoying the warmth we are having now so I'm not complaining. I tried a new very refreshing drink today. Lemon, lime, sparkling water  and mint mmmmmm.
I also made my first macaronis, tasted delicious too.

Fresh lime and mint leaves.

Party

My daughter and her friend taught six year old girls to dance last winter at Point dansstudíó in Akureyri.  When the season ended in May 8th we decided to invite all the girls to our home to say goodbye. We enjoyed very much preparing and making goodies for them.

Quality time :)

As you have seen in my earlier blog I went to a seminar to learn how to decorate bowls. My daughter made one bowl a few days ago as a present for her boyfriends mother. I decided to try something else......
.....I decided to decorate a glass bottle and see how it would turn out. it's a bottle we use to serve water.
To bad I forgot to photograph the bottle before I decorated it.

Easter decorations.

Few years ago I was asked to publish my pictures in a magazine called "The housewife". It's an old fashioned magazine but with great interviews, ordinary people and very good recipes. Some of the following pictures are from that time.
Hope you have a nice day,
Agnes

Inspiration

Yesterday I took my daughters and my daughter-in-law to a seminar to learn to decorate porcelain.
My sister is an artist and she was the teacher.  To make a long story short, we had a great time and each of us decorated one bowl to take home and got materials to make 2 more.  I was very inspired and I'm looking forward using what I learned to make a lot more and in fact I can't wait to start!
Thanks a lot Auja :)
